In response to our patients’ needs and the rapidly changing circumstances of public health, we are pleased to offer you the option of a virtual office visit. Telehealth visits are a great alternative to office visits, erasing the commute while still being able to conveniently access Dr. Goldman as well as our Nutritionist/Holistic Health Coach Missy via a HIPAA-compliant, secure video platform.

Virtual office visits work perfectly with Integrative Women’s Health. The vast bulk of what we do in the office is to engage in deeply inquisitive conversations about your current and past health, in order to find the root causes of your current concerns. Additional lab work can often be done remotely, sometimes in your own home!

Dr. Gary Goldman is a board-certified OB/GYN and NYC Integrative Women’s Health Specialist who takes the time to hear your story and uses cutting-edge technology as well as a holistic approach to diagnose and treat women’s health concerns in an integrative manner. Located on the upper east side in Manhattan, Dr. Goldman provides you with a personalized evaluation and treatment plan. Call today to schedule your appointment or book online now.

Virtual Visits For Current Patients

Just as you would make an appointment for an in-office visit, please call our office at (212) 535-6100 to schedule a Virtual Visit with Dr. Goldman. You can reach Missy directly at (914) 819-8692. At your appointed time, you will be invited by email to video chat through Zoom. This app can be accessed through your computer or a mobile phone. As a current patient you may make a virtual appointment regardless of where you reside.

Virtual Visits For New Patients

If you are a resident of New York or Florida we can offer you a complete medical consultation with Dr. Goldman as he is licensed in both of these states. If you are not a resident of either state, or you are not a current patient in our practice, then we may not provide you with a physician appointment due to current telemedicine regulations.

Make a virtual appointment by calling the office at (212) 535-6100. You will be asked to complete our routine paperwork which you can access here:  You must send all of the completed forms by fax at (212) 535-3956 before the time of your appointment or the appointment will be cancelled.

You may schedule a virtual appointment with our Nutritionist/Holistic Health Coach Missy regardless of your place of residence.

You may not book a Telemedicine appointment through Zocdoc

We must confirm your status by phone as a new or current patient, as well as the location of your residence, in order to satisfy regulatory requirements.

After evaluating many competing apps, we have partnered with Zoom for our telehealth visits. Zoom is a HIPAA-compliant, secure platform with a high-quality audio and video experience. When you are scheduled for a telehealth visit, you will receive an invitation to Zoom by email. Please connect to Zoom about ten minutes before your first virtual visit as you will need to download their software.

Payments for virtual visits are the same rate as an office visit. Credit card information will be taken at the time you schedule your appointment. You may cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours or ‘no-shows’ will incur a 50% fee. Please call ahead and speak with our secretary to discuss our fee schedule.

Just as we do not participate in any insurance plans for office visits, telemedicine visits are billed and paid at the time services are rendered. We will provide you with an appropriately coded superbill which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. While telemedicine is generally considered to be reimbursable, each insurance company and each state has its own regulations. We cannot make any guarantees regarding your insurance reimbursement. Any recommended lab studies based on our consultation can be obtained locally. We will send you a lab requisition form, which you may use at a laboratory close to your home. Alternatively, we offer lab drawing at our office by appointment.

Integrative Women’s Health

Integrative: adjective 1. Combining and coordinating diverse elements into a whole; 2. Relating to a multidisciplinary, holistic approach to medicine that combines conventional treatments with alternative therapies.

Standard western medicine is a brilliant and successful approach to healthcare. From surgery to antibiotics to MRI’s, this approach to improving health has been spectacularly beneficial. Unfortunately, not every ailment is fully addressed by this model. Many patients continue to suffer from chronic problems that don’t respond well to the traditional medical model.

Many people are concerned that standard treatment options can be harsh and harmful. They are concerned with adverse side effects or long-term sequela of various therapies. They seek a more gentle, natural and holistic approach to medical care. Frequently, physicians diminish this approach; I have often heard the statement from my colleagues, “That sounds great, but there’s just no data.” Actually, there is data. There is a tremendous amount of data in the most reputable scientific journals regarding the equal or greater effectiveness and lower toxicities of many non-traditional therapies. Physicians, like other professionals, typically stick with the principles they were taught in school and during their training. They are slow to accept new options, and rarely seek out opportunities to learn about, much less incorporate them.

Like you, I have felt frustrated by the limited options afforded by traditional medicine and have sought to learn about additional therapies throughout my career. From Functional Medicine to acupuncture and the use of various natural supplements and beyond, I embrace every option to traditional care. I personalize my recommendations for your concerns, integrating the very best of traditional medicine and alternative medicine for your health and your goals.
